Community Spirit & Christmas Cheer Celebrated
Much fun was had at the Blockade, the Monday night before Christmas, at the CCAG “Thank You” BBQ organised by the SOS Liverpool Plains girls.
Rodney the Clown entertained the many children with balloon figures, jokes and face painting and everyone joined in the Christmas carols: “O Little Town of Caroona”, “Good Old Georgus Clift”, “Santos the Red-faced Company” and a rousing rendition (to the tune of Santa Claus is comin’ to town) of “BHP Ain’t Comin’ To Mine”- old favourites with brand new words more fitting to the times we are in. The finale was left for a Steve Charles solo singing his very moving “Bring It On” accompanied by guitar.
We would like to thank everyone who has donated their time and money to this campaign for clean food and water supplies and we wish you all much fun with friends and family this Christmas and a prosperous, happy and healthy 2009!
